This is the 3rd time this happened, but the 1st 2 times it was due to bad disks.
now... i just rebooted the computer and the LVM is gone
here's some data on it:
dev/VGftp1/LVftp1 works OK
but dev/VGftp1/LVftp2 dont even exist, it says
Kernel: 2.4.22-1.2174 latest i got and has been running nice on it
Tried: 2.4.22.1.2149 and ~.2115 none of them can find the LVM (both still in the system)
The 2nd LVM is based on the different harddrives, one 22G and one 82G.
This error is what i get when trying to mount it:
[root@Basher52 etc]# mount /dev/VGftp2 /glftpd/site/warez/
mount: /dev/VGftp2 is not a block device
vgscan only says this:
[root@Basher52 etc]# vgscan
vgscan -- reading all physical volumes (this may take a while...)
vgscan -- found active volume group "VGftp1"
vgscan -- "/etc/lvmtab" and "/etc/lvmtab.d" successfully created
vgscan -- WARNING: This program does not do a VGDA backup of your volume group
When showing partitions in webmin, no partitions can be found on these drives.
The first two times i had the error, i couldn't even save some of the data on the harddrive that had no bad sectors, since i couldnt find any help on how to get the LVM up on only one of the drives
I had to throw it all away, and since this time it was only for test...it was OK
now... when i KNOW!! theres no bad blocks on the drives, what can i do...
This time i really need help, i got over 90G of data supposed to be 11 databases
