I just wanna watch a movie --failed dependencies :(

I recently just installed Fedora on my laptop (Compaq Evo N800c)

I wanted to watch a movie so I popped in Ronin, mounted the disc, and looked for the appropriate app.

After not finding anything I googled for an answer.....do to region encoding (and encryption laws) dvd players are not included.

I searched linuxquestions for an answer and decided to use the recommended player. This was Xine with Totem for the front-end UI.

I downloaded all the packages I needed (I think), and followed the instructions on the totem website (properly I think) and am getting failed dependencies trying to install the totem rpm

HELP!!!

I eventually always run into this problem (dependencies) with Linux and would really like to get over it so I can utilize the OS more.

(Sorry for the lack of links, but I typed up an even longer version of this yesterday only to have it obliterated due to linkage becuase I'm new and have less than 5 posts.)

Here's another... install apt, synaptic... then run update from synaptic and install whatever packages you want... ogle, mplayer, and /or totem... dependencies are solved for you.
