I have upgraded from FC3 to FC4 and have lost all of my virtual consoles.

I have upgraded from FC3 to FC4 and have lost all of my virtual consoles. inittab looks normal:
# Run gettys in standard runlevels
1:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty1
2:2345:respawn:/sbin/mgetty tty2
3:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty3
4:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty4
5:2345:respawn:/sbin/mgetty tty5
6:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty6
I am at a bit of a loss here. The other problem which has arose, is that logging out through <ctrl + backspace> cansometimes hang the GUI. The other day, I had to ssh from another machine and reboot my baby. NOT a fun situation. Any help would be appreciated, regards Kurt

Hi, I'm also having the same problem. It's seems most upgrades to fc4 are doing this. Not much on google yet either except people wanting to fix it :>

Also query the http://bugzilla.redhat.com database for the corresponding problem reports. Some of them are known for a long time, but difficult to track down because the GCC compiler is involved. Keep your system's up-to-date and try the xorg-x11 Test Updates from the "updates-testing" repository, too.
