let me tell you why the yum didnt work ....

yum ping the servers that i have put them inside the configuration files ...
so he pings the servers to see if it can be reachable ... but it cant ...

so that it not working ....

you can try ' tcpdump -i ppp0 ' and run ' yum ' and see what it do ....
as you said b4 .....

any way thank you alot ...

I'am a little cornfused, are you using a ethernet card or dialup modem?
