HPLIP - HP PSC1315 Printer works not scanner
I was using FC5 and both scanner and printer worked for the PSC1315.
I started Hp-toolbox .
Both the buttons for Printer and scanner are enabled .
pas ax |grep hp shows hpios hpssd are active .
But on clicking on the Scan button I get .
unable to connect ot hpaio:/.... error during device i/o.
I have recently upgraded to FC6.

Since upgrading to FC6 have you reinstalled HPLIP package?
I have a feeling the upgrade may have overwritten or deleted something. I was also thinking HPLIP is now installed with FC6 and some rpms installed in FC6 are not perfect.

I must clarify . The upgrade was a fresh install where I preserved the home directory and put it back. I was depending on the HPLIP which came with FC6 . Though in Fc5 I downloaded HPLIP from the HP Linux Printing site . I am not sure if I used just the PPD file or the complete package.

I have downloaded both the tar.gz file as well as the .run file .
I removed the rpm .
The results were worse as even the printer did not work ( with the .run file ).
Maybe I did something wrong . There is no possibility of debugging this for a routine installation as these are really huge jobs.

Hard to say. Was there any errors?
I see the install docs have changed. Have you looked at the System Requirements page on the HPLIP site to see you have all the requirements?
