HowTo change splash screen for Gnome fedora8

I cannot find a option to change a custom splashscreen for Gnome Fedora8.
Please help..

do you mean ....you want to make your own splash?

do you mean the splash that is a part of the grub boot up or do you mean once grub has jumped to the kernel.....the splash image that hides the kernel messages on booting?

I know a super easy way....install Mandriva....heh heh

zzz... I mean the bootsplash screen during the bootup. I cannot find the option to change it....

How about /boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
Bit strange that it's a zip file, but you could try modifying that, no guarantees.

Nope.. I tried to change the splash.xpm.gz with another splashscreen but it doesn;t work. I think i miss some steps..

Anyone here can help me??
