Question How would I share the X:0 desktop with the local display using fedora core 2?

I currently have a Core 2 server that I remote log into.

I need to be able remotely login and edit the local user's desktop I.E the person sitting there at the boxes terminal.

I don't need to have both users use it at the same time I just need to be able to edit and once I am finished have whatever I had up display on the remote machine once I am finished.

for example I would log in remotely and run a slide show that would loop then log off and I want to be able to start it and have it display on the boxes local display.

changing the OS is not an option.

I tried following a guide I found (link below), but have had no success

http://fedoranews.org/contributors/m...holson/xf4vnc/

also is there in way to do it using x0vncserver?

I've used tight vnc on Suse and RedHat and it works like a charm. You can download it from http://www.tightvnc.com/download.html
Good luck!

Vnc will open a new display so if I understood well.. the OP needs x11vnc to see the currently running display.
