How to stop audio driver loading while the system is start

My system is FC5, i install new drivers for audio ,but i found the driver FC5 offered is still working .how can i stop it .

I have edited /etc/modprobe.config file as the driver instruction says, but the old driver is still loaded. I can stop the old driver in fc4 by editing the config file /etc/modprobe.config.
any one have good idea to stop the old driver??

You can edit /etc/modprobe.confing , you can use modprobe to unload the module.
But if you encounter problem while try these ways, let do it the easiest way:
go to /lib/modules/
Dive in to the folder where the old module stay in and delete it
Note, you would rather move it to another folder in case the new driver don't work
