how to shorten the delay of hard disk initialization in bootup
When I bootup my fedora 3,I found a delay when the kernel get the physical parameters of the hard disk from BIOS.
a part of bootup infomation is following:
Probing IDE interface ide0...
hda: Maxtor 6K040L0, ATA DISK drive
hdb: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H10L, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
elevator: using anticipatory as default io scheduler
ide0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7,0x3f6 on irq 14
hda: max request size: 128KiB
# here paste my a lot of time
hda: 80293248 sectors (41110 MB) w/2048KiB Cache, CHS=65535/16/63, UDMA(100)
hda: cache flushes supported
hda: hda1 hda2
the delay occured from "hda:max resqust..." to "hda:80293248..." the red fonts
How can I shorten the delay?
thanks for your help!!!
