how to remove packages that claim not to be installed?

Hi,

I got a little problem with installing the flashplayer...
I first tried to install flash using the Synaptic Package Manager, but it complained about signatures.

When I try to install the package with rpm -Uhv I get the error
'package flash-plugin-6.0.79-1 is already installed'

and when I try to remove it with rpm -e I get the error
'package flash-plugin-6.0.79-1.i386.rpm is not installed'

how do I fix this?

Try rpm -e flash-plugin-6.0.79-1.i386
or possibly
rpm -e flash-plugin-6.0.79-1

The .rpm isn't part of the package name.

It worked.. still had some complaines about a non-existing dir /usr/lib/flash-setup
and a file called setup in that dir. I just created the dir and touched a file called setup.
Then removing worked just fine and installing again worked too!
