Question How To Open a .RAR

I am using fedora 13 and i have tried to install unrar rar through terminal but it keeps saying there is no package for the install.
I have used yum install unrar and yum install rar Is there another way that might work so i can unrar my files?

I use File-Roller, the default GUI in Gnome and it works just fine for me

unrar might not be installed by default
it is NOT a free program and is very patient encumbered
but a "free to use and extract only " is in rpmfusion

however THERE IS no rpm to MAKE rar files ( that is illegal without buying a license )

I installed Wine using yum install wine in terminal. I have noticed wine workes alot better than when i used it with ubuntu 10.4 Does anybody know why this is? I mean once i installed winrar it automatically made it default program with fedora for rar files it never did that with ubuntu. and i have used ubuntu since ubuntu 5.04. Now i am satisfied with slackware as my kde and fedora as my gnome

there is no need for wine to open a rar file
unrar is in the repos for fedora and is used in " file-roller"
"yum install unrar "

There is a rar for Linux. With rar, you may run into issues that the free solutions may not work with rar files compressed with the latest version of rar.

Rar is patent encumbered--licensing is about $20.00--and it works from the command line like a charm and it is transportable. Because of some of the stuff I do (downloading large *.rar files from newsgroups), I considered it worthwhile investment.

It represents the only dollar investment I've ever made for software on any of my Linux boxes.

I find it odd that you can't find unrar. You might have a repo missing.

unrar is in the fedora "rmpfusion-nonfree" repo
rpmfusion-free and nonfree are the main extra repos
