I'm trying to install FC3. I have the ISO files and I would like to install them from HD, because something is going wrong with my CDW. Now, I have the disk partitioned, and I know that I have to put the isos in some partition (I have no Windows, only linux partitions), but don't know: should I just put the ISO files, or extract the files and merge the directories... Because I tried something like this, but when I run anaconda (I suceeded to burn the first cd properly) with the "askmethod" parameter it says that it cannot find the sources...
I recommend a net install if you do not have cd-rw capabilities. All you need is the first cd to boot into the prompt. type linux askmethod. choose net install via http or ftp, whichever you prefer. You will go through the prompts until you get to the part where you enter the directory and file name. I use:
mirror.linux.duke.edu
/pub/fedora/linux/core/3/i386/os
Of course you can use any mirror you like but I have found that one to be the most reliable.
Also if you just want a disk to boot the net install you can get it here: ftp://mirror.linux.duke.edu/pub/fedo...mages/boot.iso
good luck!
