How to install from a live Fedora 12 CD

I have an AMD 64x2 with 3 GB of memory.

It's been a while since I downloaded or installed Linux. I used to download a DVD non-live version and it was pretty straight forward but now with Fed 12 all I can get is a live version. Can you install from that?

Also, what is the difference between the KDE version and the non.

Thanks,

royeo

You should be able to boot to the livecd and have an icon on the desktop to install the OS. I've not done it and it's been a while since I've booted one of the "stock" LiveCD.

The difference is GNOME v. KDE v. any-other-desktop for those that want to try a particular display-manager/desktop.

You should be able to get the Install DVD as a torrent from this page: http://torrent.fedoraproject.org/
