How to install from a live Fedora 12 CD
I have an AMD 64x2 with 3 GB of memory.
It's been a while since I downloaded or installed Linux. I used to download a DVD non-live version and it was pretty straight forward but now with Fed 12 all I can get is a live version. Can you install from that? Also, what is the difference between the KDE version and the non. Thanks, royeo |
You should be able to boot to the livecd and have an icon on the desktop to install the OS. I've not done it and it's been a while since I've booted one of the "stock" LiveCD.
The difference is GNOME v. KDE v. any-other-desktop for those that want to try a particular display-manager/desktop. You should be able to get the Install DVD as a torrent from this page: http://torrent.fedoraproject.org/ Fedora-12-x86_64-DVD.torrent |
