How to Install Firefox?

I am trying to Install mozill Firefox on fedora Core 1-I have downloaded, untared and installed , but it installs in /HOME folder--Icant find the proper path for programs . The installer gives the option to install to the folder of your choice but I dont understand the file structure. Can someone please advise me as to what folder contains the programs and what is the path to it

Look in /usr/local that's usually where mozilla installs to if you don't provide an alternate path.

It's easiest to install Firefox when you get the packages from the http://fedora.us repository. Check out the HOWTO on the front page or fetch the single package manually.

Thanks Misc-the link you sugested was not working , but a search with google for firefox.rpm brought up a firefox .rpm that was the easiest way to install. Thanks for the suggestion

It does work. It brings you to the Fedora Extras web site, where I suggest you click on the "HOWTO" to get easy access to the yum/apt/up2date repository.

Searching Google probably leads to other packages which might not work as well.

I did go to the repository but when I found the three listings for firefox.rpm for fedora core 1 or 2 they would not connect to the download"site could not be found" but thanks anyway because I wouldnt have thought to search for firefox as a RPM
