How to install Fedora without LVM

Hello,

LVM is giving me hell, I really wish such big changes in a distros install process would be made easier to bypass. Part of my partioning horror story here.

One of my LUG buddies is also reporting multiple problems with LVM on an installed FC3 setup.

So now I really need to know, what are the steps that I need to take to bypass this whole LVM thing, (till at least it's more stable). Bare in mind that I am unfamiliar with manual partioning.

Thank you.

do a custom disk setup during the install.

EDIT// you you will need to create at minimum.. and '/' partition and a swap partition. those are the minimum you need to install...

I like to keep things as simple as possible..

i create the swap partition with half the amount of ram i have (I have 1GB of ram so 512 of swap) of course if you have only a small amount of ram.. you might want to make it double the size of your actual ram.

the / partition i give the rest of the drive. I created the / partion as ext3 (for some reason FC3 has yet to include reiserfs in their setup utility )

anyways.. that is the simplest way to parttion, I keep to this setup because it works for me.
