How to fix XMMS mp3 w/o (which is down)

All the how-tos I'm reading require the usage of, which is down for some reason. this being my only day off for the next 5 days is there anyway I can fix XMMS mp3 support without it? Surely some other location has an rpm for 1.2.8 or something....

Anyone know?
