How To Delete tmp Files In FC5

I have just installed FC5 and have a question. I'm familiar with SUSE, where I can go into YAST>System>CRON and can set CRON to remove all tmp files over 24 hours old and to remove all tmp files at bootup.

I'm wondering if there is a similar way to delete tmp files in FC5.

Cheers,
zenarcher

do a crontab -e and add the following line
59 23 * * * /bin/rm -rf /tmp/*
just check the path of rm.

you would need to restart crond,
service crond restart

How to delete tmp files in FC5

Thanks
I was also trying to figure out the same.
However in my case the above method is not deleting the tmp files on reboot. Also is there a way to limit the size of tmp files being stored?

what that crontab file does is delete the /tmp every 23:59pm, it wont delete anything on a reboot.
if you want to delete on every reboot you should add the rc.local or whatever that is on your comp.
