How to change Bootsplash in Core Eight
hello,
I wish to change the defualt Core Eight Bootsplash and I have no idea where to start.Been using Linux for Two years and love it Thanks The Penguin stands tall |
Take a peek in /boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz Extract the xmp file, edit it to your heart's content, and put it back. Read about grub's splashimage= option in grub.conf, and there are undoubtedly other options for the format in which you can store your image. To edit images, use "The GIMP".

bootsplash in fedora is called rhgd. take a look at /usr/share/rhgb at least you can change the splash pic but i dont know about the background.
