How to change Bootsplash in Core Eight
 
hello,
I wish to change the defualt Core Eight Bootsplash
and I have no idea where to start.Been using Linux for Two years
and love it

Take a peek in /boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz Extract the xmp file, edit it to your heart's content, and put it back. Read about grub's splashimage= option in grub.conf, and there are undoubtedly other options for the format in which you can store your image. To edit images, use "The GIMP".

bootsplash in fedora is called rhgd. take a look at /usr/share/rhgb at least you can change the splash pic but i dont know about the background.
