how to bring wmii to my login screen

dear folk,

I want to have an option to use wmii as my wm in the login screen of fedora core 4. how can I achieve this??? I found some hints for suse or debian, but couldn't make any sense out of them, because of complete different file names. thank you

beo

ps: if it is easier to set wmii as the default wm for one of my users it would be perfect, too.

did you install it? (ie. wmii)

what is wmii .. never heard of it.

remember rh is propriatory now (mostly).. so they are not as liberal with their giving info on things as speciallize as you are asking.

have you gotten any further along yet?

hello,

wmii is a slim windowmanager. the damn thing about it is that you get used to it so quickly -> i start hating kde ...

here is how i solved my problem for fedora core 4:

in /usr/share/xsessions in produced a file wmii.desktop with the entries

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Type=XSession
Exec=wmii
TryExec=wmii
Name=wmii
Comment=Starte wmii

i just modified a similiar existing file for kde...

ps: got a hint from a gentoo forum/wiki.
