How to backup my DHCP configuration?
Hello Friends,
I want to set up port forwarding on my DSL router and will need to specify a static ip. I want to use Azureus bit-torrent clinet and IRC so I need port forwarding.
The last time I did this I set it up using the network configuration tool in Gnome (Desktop>System Settings>Network). The port forwarding was a success but a month later I needed to re-eable DHCP because of my Windows XP based laptop. When I tried to re-enable DHCP in Fedora, the settings would not work and I could not connect to the internet anymore. I was finally forced to reinstall Fedora 4 from scratch.
I want to prevent this from happening again. How can I backup my DHCP configuration so I can revert back to it if need be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
