How similar is FreeBSD to Fedora?

I'm currently running Fedora but am required to learn and possibly install FreeBSD for a webserver that's being passed over to me. I was wondering if anyone knew how similar or different fedora and bsd are so I can determine how much I have to study up on.

there are many diferences, but also many similarites. You can play around in bsd with LiveBSD

most linux software runs on top of BSD as well; GNOME, KDE etc.
