How do I stop drivers loading?

I have an AEI USB LAN adaptor.

When FC4 loads up it installs the Pegasus USB LAN drivers. These give loads of error messages.

I want to try the ndiswrapper drivers instead.

How do I now stop the Pegasus drivers from loading?

I think that you make the changes in /etc/modprobe.conf. Try changing the alias statements for the Pegasus drivers to the ndiswrapper drivers.

Except that, because the card is automatically found at startup, there is no entry for Pegasus in modprobe.conf.

There should be entries in some of the alias statements with the names of the Pegasus USB LAN drivers. Try substituting the names of the ndiswrapper drivers for the names of the Pegasus USB LAN drivers in /etc/modprobe.conf.
