Exclamation How Do I Get Wireless Internet To Work?

I just finished installing Fedora 9 and it works smoothly except I can't get my wireless internet to work. It detects my Linksys USB Adapter and the network I'm trying to connect to but when I click the green activate button(which btw I can no longer do for some reason, its shaded gray now as well as the decative button) it says it didnt get the IP address or something. What can I do to fix this?

You generally have to configure the wireless connection---eg: supply the ESSID, WEP key, etc. If you have trouble with the GUI interface, try using iwconfig in a terminal.

I don't know what GUI tool Fedora is using. I have tried many and had trouble with most of them. I have, however, had very good luck with WICD.

What I meant was: the GUI tool for network configuration

(GUI = graphical user interface)

Somewhere in the menus, there should be a utility for managing internet connections---one way or the other, you have to tell your computer what the parameters are for a particular wireless access point.
