Home Folders with Samba and ADS
I am setting up a FC5 box to be a fileserver in a Win2K3 ADS Domain. I want to use it as the location where "My Documents" will be redirected.
I have been able to get the FC5 box joined to ADS and I have been able to manually create a samba share which I was then able to map to from my XP box. I manually created a /home/DOMAIN/user folder, chowned it to the DOMAIN user and then was able to map from XP. Then, following these articles (redmondmag.com/columns/article.asp?editorialsid=858 and mcpmag.com/columns/article.asp?editorialsid=976#post)I was able to log into the FC5 machine and it automatically created the /home/DOMAIN/user share using mkhomedir.so. After I logged onto the FC5 box, I was then able to map the drive from XP.
What I cannot figure out is how to make this work so that when the users logs into the XP box, a /home/DOMAIN/user directory is created if one doesn't already exist. Please help.
