"Help"with setting up my firewall on Fedora Core 4
How can i get going with setup my firewall for Fedora Core 4?
I've heard of ipchains/iptables but i have no clue on how to set one up, last time i played with iptables was on slackware but its been a while and i didn't get that far setting it up. any help? i feel unsafe with out one. |
Do you want to use the security tool in FC4? In KDE it is under the start menu > system settings > security level. There you can open the command ports or add your own in the bottom box.

You can also try firestarter which is a GUI for iptables, if I'm not wrong. It makes things much easier. Just type as root:
