HELP - unable to set up wireless connection


steps taken

installed fedora 4 with core 2.6.11

wireless card dwl g520

yum install madwifi

yum installed madwifi, and kernel 2.6.15 as a prereq

graphics mode, internet connetction, wireless, create new, set to manual, set ssid and hex key 0x1231231234

when i try to activate it, I get an error saying 8b06 and it will not pull and ip from dhcp. So i tried to set to static ip, but still not differnece, what am i doing wrong, what more info do you need. Would like to get this set up quick so i was dependant on the graphics mode, which is different then im use to




im sure i missed a step, but can't figure it out. Sux too, cuz i have to phsyicall carry my pc down to the basement where my cat5 connection is

please help,
