Mplayer
If you have Fedora Core 2, then install apt (Debian's apt-get tool ported to work with RPM's) and synaptic (a graphical front-end for apt). You can get them here:
apt http://tettnang.freshrpms.net/rpm.html?id=18 synaptic http://tettnang.freshrpms.net/rpm.html?id=229 Once you have those installed, you can use synaptic to download and install Mplayer. It will take care of all the dependencies for you. |
yum is another option. It lacks a graphical interface, but it has worked very nicely at handling dependencies for installing and reverse dependencies when removing software. I've been really impressed with it, but don't have enough experience with apt to make a meaningful comparison between the two. Just offering another option.
