Help Me
Hi,
I am using Fedora core 7 and 8 in my 2 different system and none of them are telnet enabled. Can any one help me in how to configure telnet server and enable it so that i can access this system in other windows system of my network. The hostname of this system is sys7.lan with fedora 7 and sys8 with fedora 8 installation. thanking in advance. Gowlikar. |
please use better thread titles. what coews "help me" say about your problem at all???
as for your problem, don't use telnet at all. you'll already have an ssh server running, use that with putty from windows. |
I will once again say, don't use telnet. It is not secure and your password can be easily tracked (that's right, not cracked but tracked!) using telnet.
Use ssh. On Fedora systems it should be running by default. If it is not, it would definitely be listed in possible startup commands, where you can just enable it. See through this, btw: http://www.developertutorials.com/tu...308/page1.html |
