help:about mounting filesystem
i want to access fat32 partitions under windows 2000, which is /dev/hda5,
and my command line is:

mount -t vfat /dev/hda5 /mnt/d

the command was processed successfully, then i did this:

cd /mnt/d

then the "ls" command was halted, and i could not even kill the process, so i tried to umount it, and the system threw out a "device busy" error message. and this partition is running well under windows, please tell me what happened.

thanks a lot!!!

Maybe ls is becoming crazy when trying to read the file names using your charset, try with something like:

mount -t vfat -o iocharset=YOUR_CHARSET /dev/hda5 /mnt/d
