Graphic mode in Fedora Core 8

HI!
i had installed Fedora Core 8 on an old machine with 320 MB RAM.I used the text mode for the installation, cause the graphical way had a problem with my pc.Now, when i launch my O.S. it always starts in text mode giving the shell on the monitor.How cay i launch the grahic mode?Is it possible with just 320 MB of RAM?

I forgot to tell you that i had installed the districution with gnome graphic package.

I would assume it is because you are in run-level 3 and not run-level 5.

Check the file /etc/inittab

What does it say in the id:X:initdefault section?

If the number there is 3, change it to 5 so it reads like this:
id:5:initdefault:

Also, do this command right after the system boots and paste the output:
# runlevel

If you are already in run-level 5, i would assume X is not configured properly. Post the output of /etc/X11/xorg.conf and the command # lspci if you are in 5 and not 3.
