GPM error on Fedora 9 login
I installed Fedora 9 with Gnome on a Shuttle SN78SH7 (nVidia 8200 chipset). I am getting Gnome power manager errors on login:
"The configuration defaults for the gnome power manager has not been installed correctly. Please contact your system administrator." I've Googled for solutions but haven't found anything that works for me. One thread recommended running gconf-2 to figure out the problem, but I don't understand the results: $ gconftool-2 -g /schemas/apps/gnome-power-manager/general/installed_schema Type: int List Type: *invalid* Car Type: *invalid* Cdr Type: *invalid* Default Value: 3 Owner: gnome-power-manager Does anyone have a fix for this problem? -Thanks! Is it a laptop?
See dmesg|less for the exact error messages. Bios config for power mgt? |
resolved itself
It is a Shuttle with integrated nVidia 8200 chipset.
The problem seems to have magically disappeared after a bunch of PackageKit updates. |
