Question gnome question ?

what is the command line for shuting down my pc on fedora core 2 through gnome ?

i know i can just go and click on logout and shutdown , but i would like to know the command for turning off my pc.

Log in as root. Then enter the command:

/sbin/shutdown -h now (to shutdown)


/sbin/shutdown -r now (to restart, but you can also simply enter 'reboot')

can u guys tell the commands to log out ?
