Gnome 2.22 in Fedora core 8

Hi all,
I am using Fedora core 8. I have read that latest version of Gnome (v 2.22) was released. I've found some good reviews about the latest version in the internet. So I want to try it out.

Is it possible to install/update latest version on my Fedora 8 installation? Or I have to wait till fedora 9 comes out ?

Hi,

A) GNOME 2.22 comes out march 12th, tomorrow (depending on your location).

I'm not sure if Fedora updates its packages when a new version is released, Fedora 9 is a sure bet, 8 I'm not sure.
But nothing is stopping you from compiling it from source :-D

Thanks for the reply.
Actually I am not comfortable with source compilation yet. I think I should wait till Fedora 9. Rawhide will be hot to handle. :)

Nice signature by the way.
