gconf-editor


how do you run gconf-editor in fedora core 6?

It's probably not installed.

su -
yum install gconf-editor


Open a terminal windows and enter the command gconf-editor

OK, try:

/usr/bin/gconf-editor

BTW, the message you had doesn't mean that gconf-editor is installed it means that you are trying to run 2 instances of yum at the same time.

If you want to find-out if gconf-editor is installed:

whereis gconf-editor or

rpm -qa gconf-editor

thank you.

i checked on the fedora add/remove software list and it said it was installed i guess it wasnt. i tried the yum install again and it worked thank you very much.
