Gaim again
 
Guys pls advis how that gaim will work
I have just installed fedora6 today after 1 week donloading the program i get pisssssssed internet works well the distro I mean fedora its better then Ubuntu and linux xp , but how? it was working under linux xp but now cant log in

What is Linux XP? Open it from a command line and post the error messages you get.

it sais unable to connect?????
i have no proxy just dail up to internet im writing now via fedora6 every thning just perfect

linx xp its also linux distro i hate it but the gaim was working well, this also happend when i installed redhat, im new sys user so im not femilar with commands!!!

I dont like it, I used it at a friends, and no way would I use it, especially when Ubuntu works perfectly for free.

I think its main appeal to newbies is its familiar GUI, alot of pre-configured stuff, etc.

hate to be nosy ...but i'd sugest getting pidgin ..since gaim is oficially now known as pidgin after the aol problem was erm ...resolved

Ah, I remember it now. To be honest, it's been so long since it was on the radar that I had completely forgotten about it. Definitely go with Ubuntu or a variant - extremely easy to setup, lots and lots and lots of programs and it still looks and feels like Linux.

I used Ubunto for 2 days removed case he couldnt recognized my nvidia and external modem

guys do you have any links for new linux user how to work with command line and how to understand his philosophy

linux xp its shy i even brock the cd
