fresh fedora install, ATI, gnome desktop effects (compiz?)


just after a fresh F8 install

i cant get 'desktop effects' to work. i installed ati drivers as described on ..

running desktop effects results in this:

im lost, would be great if you could help me out.

There are isues with 8.42.3 ati drivers and even with 2.6.23 kernel tree as well. For now I have gone back to ati 8.40.4 for now on kernel.

Just waiting for the AMD/ATI team to make a new release. From the hear say later this month it should be coming. Have not check the news on ATI site lately to get the full details.
