Freeze on splash with "Fedora Core-up (2.6.5-1.358)"

First i'll start off with system specs..

Intel P4 3.0 Ghz
Asus P4C800 Deluxe MB
ATI Radeon 9600XT
WD 120G HD (Master)
WD 250G HD
Five Distros of Linux:
Fedora Core 2, Mandrake 10,
Gentoo 2004.2, Slackware 10.0, College Linux
One Distro of FreeBSD
(All spread about on the two WD's)

Here's the problem...

I have two accounts, root and $user. When I start up in "Fedora Core-up (2.6.5-1.358)",
I can log in as root, and it works fine. However when I log into $user, it displays the
Gnome screen, the music plays for startup, and the icons that notify startup don't display.
The splash screen just sits there.

When I boot up in "Fedora Core (2.6.5-1.358smp)" I can log in as root and $user, and
they works flawlessly. The reason I need to use "Fedora Core-up (2.6.5-1.358)" is because
I installed the ATI Drivers on that kernel.

In Short:

With the (2.6.5-1.358smp) I can login as root and $user just fine. With (2.6.5-1.358), I can
login as root fine, but $user hangs at the splash screen.

Fedora Core (2.6.5-1.358smp)
Fedora Core-up (2.6.5-1.358)

Thanks for helping. Thats what makes Linux great.

Problem Fixed. Thought I'd post it in case (in the rare chance) someone else runs into the same problem. I just reconfiged my ATI Drivers with the "fglrxconfig" command in the shell. That seemed to fix it.
