Following warnings occured during automatic partitioning:

ok, when I tried to reinstall FC after deleting its partitions I get this error
Code:

Following warnings occured during automatic partitioning:
boot partition /boot may not meet booting constraints for your architecture.  Creation of a boot disk is highly encouraged

. I was able to do it fine before without a boot disk and I dont remember if I got that error before but I probably used disk druid last time. Basically what I'm asking is, is it safe to continue? I'm using a dell p4.

Did you make a /boot partition and if so is it within the first 8 GB of your hard disk. Some older BIOSes can only boot with a kernel image that's located on the first 1024 cylinders of the disk (roughly about the first 8 GB). If your BIOS is relatively recent, it probably doesn't have this restriction and you should be safe.

why dont't you just create a boot-disc - it could save you some day, when _something_ goes wrong i.e. installing a boot-loader and messing up the configuration...like some people here did.
The error could mean, that there was created a /boot partition - in a place on harddisc where - under certain circumstances (old hardware / bios or something else) there could occur problems to boot up the machine...
After all - it is just a suggestion made by the install-process and you can as well ignore it.
If it where a must-do the message would have been clear in that respect.
