floopy boot disk on FC3

As several others seem to have learned, when one tries to use the mkbootdisk command on fc3, the resulting image is bigger than a 1.44 meg floppy. Is there some sort of work-around which lets us build a boot floppy for FC3?

I'm considering building a boot cd, but it seems rather anemic to have a command which is intended to build a boot floppy, yet it doesn't seem to be possible.

Here is an explanation on how to make a boot floppy which does not need a kernel on the boot floppy. Thus the files will easily fit on the boot floppy.

The easiest way of making a boot disk , particulary if you have a /boot partition is to burn a copy of the /boot directory to CD.

I am running a duel boot system with FC3 and Windows 98 and I have burned a copy of the /boot partition onto a 185 Mb mini CD and it works great for both FC3 and Win98.

Ths size of my /boot partition files for the CD is 3Mb .
