Flashplayer in Fedora - quick fix that worked!

Just wanted to let folks know...I was trying to install Flashplayer in Mozilla 1.4.1 with the Fedora distro - I went through all the forums and tried a hundred things...then I found this - just typed in the line as root and it worked like a charm.

ln -s /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5 /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3

Hope this helps someone...

All the best,

TreeDragon60

awsome, thanks man!

coincidentally i was just reinstalling thinking i messed something up because of flash not working (i came from redhat 9 where i installed it without a hitch)

all for the best, i installed KDE 3.2, something i wont do this round through, kinda instable, like a beta. Konkerer crashes often, sometimes just from creating and moving directories. i noticed that a bit in Core 2 Test 1's KDE 3.2 also. i dont need it anyways for now, i am going to be using fluxbox and will just be using the KDE environment for anything i cant do in fluxbox.

thanks again man, btw, why does this do the trick?

For those who don't,

Code:

You can also install the compat-gcc-c++XXXX.rpm file included with Fedora and that works as well.

Thumbs up

Excellent, I was getting increasingly annoyed trying to install J2EE 1.4 (same problem) - I tried everything suggested elsewhere to fix the problem - tried this last night and it worked a charm.

Thanks!
