Firewire usb combo pci card trouble


I recently installed a combo fw & usb pci card. I have several linux distros-mostly I run kernel 2.6.X. The card is recognized during boot but in FC3 I don't get a desktop device anymore even when I plug into the old (motherboard usb 1.1) Fedora used to auto mount the drive or camera. In mepis or knoppix I can still access either usb device I insert in either the new or older usb ports.
