fedora8 update

I am having no luck updating or upgrading fedora 8. When I do yum I get the following:Error: Missing Dependency: libkdeprint_management.so.5 is needed by package kdebase4
Error: Missing Dependency: libkdeprint.so.5 is needed by package kdebase4
If I do yum install the packages it says no such packages available. Please someone help me, as I have way over 200 updates available. Thank you, Ron

It seems you are missing the package 'kdelibs'.

Since your 'yum' is not working, install it from your CD/DVD install,
or download it for example from:

and then install it manually with: rpm -Uvh kdelibs...

Hope it helps.

You can use yum to install yumex which gives you a nice GUI then when you have a dependency problem you can uncheck the offending package and proceed with the update.
