fedora user authentication problem
 

I am having a authentication failure at gui login in fedora 16 using user1 while i was able to login in terminal by pressing alt+ctrl+f2
than created a new user from terminal user2 and tried the gui login it worked.
I want to know how can i fix user1 gui login problem.

Not sure what the problem is, but I'd do it by brute force - I'd back up the important stuff in user1's home directory, then delete user1, recreate user1, and then restore user1's home directory contents.

Thanks for help but i can't delete the user1 as the machine is being used as a server.
