fedora source installation
Well i really like Fedora 2, but it's too slow for my PC. So i thourht i could do something to speed it up, as i did with my laptop, where i installed Gentoo. I decided to compile the packages i use often and kernel. As far as the kernel is concerned i know what to do (i think), but what will i do with the src rpms?
Where are they installed, is there a way to optimize their installation? For example, in Gentoo there is the /etc/make.conf file where many optimizations are defined, like if you want the programs to be compiled with support for x, KDE, Gnome , etc.
Can anybody help me or send me a good link?
