Fedora (Should I migrate to it from Redhat 9)

Hello, I am wondering what the advantages would be if I were to migrate to the Fedora system from Redhat 9. Has there been many improvements. I have several machines on a network, with one acting as a server for the internet using squid.

the fedora vs red hat thread probably goes over most of that

but if red aht is working fien now and you dont need any need features..i'd stay w/ red hat

i havnt upgraded any of the servers to fedora that had red hat 9 before as i dont see a reason to at this time

I would say that Fedora Core 1 would be essentially Red Hat 10. The thing is, I would say in general "if it aint broke, don't fix it". I can't imagine there have been huge changes between Red Hat 9 and Fedora Core 1. Having said that, I think FC1 is relatively stable. I would DEFINITELY not recommend migrating to FC2 on your network just yet! I use it on my laptop, but I make sure to have everything important backed up to an offline drive. FC2 is still a little buggy in my opinion.

It will likely take until FC3 for them to work out some of the bugs with the 2.6 kernel, the updated Gnome desktop, the switch from Xfree86 to X.org, etc etc etc.
