Fedora, SCSI RAID, and kernel 2.6.1

Has anyone been able to update to kernel 2.6.1 that's running on Fedora and has a SCSI RAID array? I've been able to get it to work on IDE systems, but so far it compiles but refuses to boot when put on a SCSI RAID system. It seems it's having trouble mounting the root filesystem, even though support for it has been compiled into the kernel. So, if someone has gotten this to work, what all did you compile in that's related to the SCSI card? I've been adding in:

SCSI support
SCSI disk access
ext3 filesystem
AMI megaraid (for my SCSI card)

I think that's everything, but I don't have it in front of me right now. If there's something I'm forgetting or not doing, please let me know.

Thanks.
