The first two ISO's I downloaded and burnt failed the optional media check during install.
Naturally I ignored the warning and installed anyway not bothering to check the the other two cd's at all.
It all seems to work except I got a message saying that the "nvidia licence taints the kernel" but I still have the nvidia drivers installed and working.
Probably not inaccurate, but the errors p'bly weren't fatal. The installer may have been able to overcome them by itself.
If your system's working fine, I'd let well enough alone

The system seems to work as installed.
Is the media checking program inaccurate?
mortal,
I also faced similar problem and send a post in LQ's Software forum too. Surprisingly all the four cd's were failed at 99%. From that it was seemed that there is something abnormal. I asked my brother, who send me those four Fedora cds. He told me that he installed from those cds, and he had no problem. I also installed from those cds. I installed it about 1 month back and still face no problem. Everything going normal. I think you also face similar experience. Wish you a happy face with Fedora.
Regards.
either the media test failed to to read a package at that time and later on during installaion i went fine or u did not install the package that was in the failed part of the CD
it has happened to me that i passed the media test but installation failed
Yes..........it is also true. After a successful media check one can get problem installing the software. So why do we worry? Just go for the installation...
