Fedora Core release date

As you know we're roughly 2 hours away from June 13th, FC4's release day. Does Red Hat plan on releasing FC4 at the stroke of midnight or tomorrow morning?

I don't think it will be at the stroke of midnight because midnight differs dependig on where you are. They will release when they are certain that all the main mirrors have it ready for download. Some people have already been lucky and found some mirrors that already had the isos before the release date.

Do you know any mirrors that didn't block it?

I got mine from here:

Code:
http://mirrors.xmission.com/fedora/core/4/i386/iso/
Funny thing after installing it was that it wanted to be activated?!? I couldn't launch up2date or yum. Is there going to be some sort of activation feature in this one similar to RHEL?

No, there won't be an activation feature, I am sure the yum and up2date mirrors are blocked till the official release. I am currently using the development version and it doesn't require activaion.

Isn't there supposed to be a DVD install?

Yeah, there is going to be a dvd install. Remember that not all mirror sites have been populated with the right files so check again aftr the officil release announcement. I will just download using the torrent, it reduces the strain on mirror sites.
