Fedora Core 6 Slow after update Xorg problem?

Hi I'm new with fedora I've used Ubuntu before but not a lot so treat me nice. I searched everywhere but I can't find a solution. I just updated fedora I had some isues with faad2 and some dependencies being added on but I somehow managed to fix that. But when I turned on my computer thsi morning I noticed it was getting "hiccups" so I ran system monitor and turns out Xorg just all of a sudden starts using 60-100% of the cpu and my computer freezes for a second. I think the problem might be with my integrated graphics S3 UniChrome Pro 2D/3D Graphics. I have sempron 1.86ghz cpu and one gig of ram. by the way fedora core was the only one to support 1440x900 resolution, windows and ubuntu didn't. Help me please.

check /etc/X11/xorg.conf - are you using the "via" driver?
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=76037 (I know it is for ubuntu - but read on.

Ok well according to the installation file on the viaarena website my resolution is not supported so I guess the right driver is not installed although xorg.conf says that im using the via driver so for right now im just going to stick with what I have right now what's weird though is that it only gets slow when I visit digg.com in firefox but when I go to digg.com on opera it doesn't slow down at all. I'm just going to buy a new graphics card. Thanks Simon appreciate it
