fedora core 5 install problems

Hello all,

Currently I'm tring to install fedora core 5 so I can put mailscanner on it.

My problem begins with the fedora install. It starts out fine. It almost gets all the way thru the kernal loading until it gets to the sbin part. It then hangs, and then gives me a HUGE dump of stuff. Sometimes in machine code, other times in readable stuff.

Any suggestions on what I should do to try to get past it? I've already confirmed the cd's are good. And I tried the "linux noprobe" option.

What are the details of your hardware? (motherboard, cpu, chipsets, video, disk controller, etc.) Can you find others who have used your hardware?

Some hardware is *probabaly* causing the problem, you just need a proper kernel parameter to bypass that hardware for installation.
